Portraits

Through out history portraiture has been the best  way to capture a person's everlasting image. The best way to immortalize  an image of someone.
In a modern and technological world, like the one we live in today, conventional academic portraiture is unsurpassed, when compared to photography I will tell you quickly why this is:
The visual effectiveness of a hand made portrait conveys not just the unique physical characteristics of the sitter but his or her psyche also. Photographs cannot do this.
More important is the artists input on the work. Here is where the Art aspect of the piece comes in, rarely found in photograph, more commonly in hand made portraiture, two or three dimensional (drawing/painting or sculpture). If this artistic aspect is found in photographic portraiture, is more likely because the piece shows as much or more of the creator in it as the sitter.
In other words the magic of an artistic portrait is that it portraits the hand of its creator also. And this creator, the artist, decides and concentrates on specific aspects of the work as it is created.
Having total control of the final project, in this case a portrait, and this gives it a uniqueness to the work.

To commission a portrait.
I prefer to work with the  model (sitter) live.
If this is not possible photographs work too. If I take them it's better, but if you provide them works also.
Send 5 or more photographs of the person to be portrayed, and the portrait can be started right away.

Here are the sizes and mediums worked on with respective prices
